The Living Standard provides professionally managed, amenity-rich shared homes for independent adults across Greater Houston. We combine furnished room options, useful everyday amenities, clear household standards and community by choice—giving residents space to manage their own routines, protect their privacy and feel at home without taking on an entire apartment alone.
Our mission is to create attractive, well-managed homes where autonomy, dignity, clarity and belonging work together. Residents are renters—not patients, clients or program participants—and social involvement remains a personal choice.

PEACE + QUIET
The Living Standard Houston quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Music, television, calls and other activities should remain at a level that does not disturb others.
GUESTS + PARKING
Guests are permitted only in approved areas and during permitted hours. Shared bedroom and overnight guests are not allowed. Unregistered vehicles may not remain overnight.
ANIMALS + ACCOMMODATIONS
Pets are not permitted unless otherwise stated. Requests involving service/support/assistance animals are handled as reasonable-accommodation requests in accordance with applicable fair-housing law.

Shared Home Standards

CLEAN SHARED SPACES
Residents clean up after themselves, wash and store their dishes, keep personal belongings in assigned areas and leave common spaces ready for others.
ROOMS + PROPERTY
Unapproved appliances or furniture may not be placed in bedrooms or shared areas. Common-area furnishings, equipment and supplies must remain in their designated spaces.
PRIVACY + MANAGEMENT ACCESS
Management generally provides at least 24 hours’ notice before entering an occupied bedroom, except in emergencies or when otherwise permitted by the lease or applicable law.
SECURE ACCESS
House and bedroom access codes must remain private. Residents may not permit tailgating or unverified entry and should promptly report security concerns.
SMOKE-FREE + PROHIBITED ITEMS
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the home. Illegal drugs and weapons are prohibited on the property.
